    We’ll be at IFFA from 14-19 May – will we see you there?

    This coming month looks like it’s going to be a very busy one for us here at Cutting Edge Services, especially since we’re getting ready to attend the biggest trade show of the year! So, in case you’re in a hurry:

    • What’s happening? – We’re going to IFFA, where we’ll be showcasing market-leading innovations from our suppliers.
    • Where? – Frankfurt Fair and Exhibition Centre, in Frankfurt, Germany.
    • When? – 14th to the 19th of May, 2022.

    Why are we going to IFFA?

    IFFA is a massive industry trade show, widely regarded as the world’s largest. With this year’s attendees due to include around 900 businesses from more than 40 countries, IFFA covers the entire market for processing, packaging and selling of meat and alternative proteins.

    2022 marks the return of the IFFA for the first time since the emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic, and with the last restrictions having been lifted in Germany on the 2nd April, there’s a palpable sense of anticipation for the event – not least from our own team here at Cutting Edge Services! Our experts will be heading to Frankfurt for the exhibition in mid-May, where we’ll be joining a whole host of our partners and suppliers who’ll also be there for the event.

    Now, automation is one of the top themes at IFFA 2022, which makes it an unmissable opportunity for us to introduce (and demonstrate) some of the latest high-tech innovations our partners will be showcasing at the event.

    Our team isn’t tied to a single location – instead, we’ll have the freedom to roam around the venue, so if you’re on the lookout for something specific, we’ll be able to take you to the suppliers and products that we think best fit the bill, and show you exactly what they can do. (And as the exclusive UK distributors of these products, with more than three decades of experience behind us, you can trust us to know what we’re talking about!)

    What is IFFA? A little more detail

    If you’re in the meat or food processing industry, you may already be at least passingly familiar with IFFA. As the sector’s largest trade fair, it offers the global food industry an invaluable platform for innovation and networking, making it a major event in the food industry calendar for countless visitors and exhibitors worldwide.

    As well as showcasing equipment, products and solutions for processing, manufacturing, packaging and retailing of meat products, the IFFA also features alternative sources of protein for any visitors considering expanding or diversifying into the sector.

    The event spans across six days, with each day focused on a different theme. The full list of themes for 2022 includes:

    And as a side note, the show is well known for its social dynamic, and traditionally attendees and exhibitors have enjoyed getting together to indulge in meals, drinks, and one or two extracurricular special events. Personally, we’re looking forward to partaking in some of that legendary German hospitality ourselves!
