NOCK scale ice makers utilise a unique design that differs from traditional ice makers, avoiding issues like refrigerant leakage and germ-infested ice. These machines feature a horizontal, stationary freezing disc (evaporator) that works in conjunction with the scarper, delivering consistent flakes.
Water is fed directly to the disc from the freshwater supply via a valve and a rotating water distributor, then auto-scraped off after freezing. NOCK scale ice makers do not use a water storage tank (water bath); instead, fresh water is immediately frozen and dispensed as ice in less than one minute.
